How to be consistent with your Italian

Ah consistency... how difficult it is to be consistent when studying a foreign language.

Sometimes it seems impossible to find time to practice!

I don't know about you with Italian, but it used to happen to me a lot with French.

Then one day I asked myself: how did I learn English and Spanish so well?

Here is the key answer:

determination + change + passion (+ time)

Let me explain:

Determination

> choose a goal and stick to it (why are you learning Italian and its history and culture?)

Change

> do new things in Italian: novelty and curiosity will give you a great stimulus to keep going - have you tried my workbooks full of resources and questions so you never get bored? See if Be Yourself in Italian is for you.

Passion

> If you like what you do in Italian, one thing leads to another - the Italian Risorgimento course is perfect for you even if you're not super passionate about history!

Time

> You value the time you spend practising and what you do in Italian, keep track of your practice, believe me, it's much more effective than keep planning and getting disappointed for not sticking to the plane - you can use my Italian Tracker to get started.

And you, are you always consistent with your Italian?

Share your secrets in the comment :)

Un caro saluto,

Giulia.
