What’s the Grand Tour 2027?
It’s your Italian dream come true.
It’s un viaggio studio, a full immersion into the Italian language lasting 7 days and 6 nights.
It’s a Grand Tour because you’ll move around and visit more than one place, getting to explore both known attractions and hidden gems from an authentic perspective.
It’s a retreat because you’ll have the opportunity to rest and relax, cook Italian food, and enjoy some time journaling in Italian.
It’s a unique opportunity for you to speak Italian every day while in Italy, being supported by your Italian teacher (me, Giulia :))
Giulia is really authentic, so you feel you can be yourself in her company.
I wanted an opportunity to practice and stretch my Italian without distraction, in a context where I could speak and listen on a range of topics rather than just transactional language for travelling.
I had found Giulia’s podcast the previous year and really enjoyed the clarity with which she speaks, and her enthusiasm for language and history, so her was my first choice for an immersion trip.
There was plenty of clear information provided before signing up, so I didn't really have fears.
I really enjoyed the meals and aperitivi we had together at the house in Stresa, on the Lake Maggiore —it was fun and natural. The balance between cultural visits, relaxing/eating/drinking, time together, and time alone was perfect.
Giulia is calm, warm, organised and enthusiastic. She listens carefully and provides just the right amount of support with vocabulary and correction, enabling you to express yourself as fluently as possible.
She's really authentic and so you feel you can be yourself in her company.
I'd 100 per cent recommend a viaggio studio with Giulia. Your language will improve without it feeling like work.

What’s the plan?
The Grand Tour starts in Milan and finishes in Stresa, with the option to go back to Milan by train with me.
14-16 June: Milan (2 nights)
16-20 June: Stresa (4 nights)
Your accommodation in Milan is not included in the price, you you can stay as long as you like before and after the retreat, and you can choose according to your own preference.
The accommodation in Stresa is included in the price. it is called Home Retreat – Un sogno sul lago, and you will have a private ensuite room.

Tutte ci siamo sentite speciali e abbiamo sempre parlato italiano!
Volevo migliorare il mio italiano in un modo diverso rispetto al classico corso in aula: viaggiando, scoprendo nuovi luoghi e dando così alle vacanze (di solito in spiaggia) un senso diverso.
È stata un’ottima idea!
La mia paura era di dovermi limitare per il bene del gruppo. Ma Giulia ha sempre lasciato spazio per ascoltare i desideri e le opinioni delle participanti, rispetto i tempi e gli spazi di ognuna.
Mi è piaciuto molto che – secondo me – tutte ci siamo sentite speciali e trattate allo stesso modo, senza favoritismi.
Abbiamo sempre parlato italiano, con spiegazioni solo in italiano adatte a tutti i livelli.
Hai avuto molta pazienza e tutto è stato organizzato con grande cura, senza rigidità.

If you want, we will share these moments together, but we will pay separately. Note: the kitchen in the Home Relax will always be available for you to use.);

A memorable journey _ Un viaggio indimenticabile!
My study trip with Giulia was truly an adventure. Giulia designed the group to be small so we each had a voice.
Unless we needed something explaining, we spoke only in Italian, which was a challenge but full of laughter as we got to know each other in another language.
Giulia took care of all the organisation so we could focus on the language.
Her knowledge of places and history was fascinating and she explained it all in a way that was understandable, and with remarkable patience.
I can’t wait to do another trip with Giulia, I know it will be incredible for my learning, sense of connection to others and all things authentically Italian.

Ti consiglio di vivere il Grand Tour come momento per te e il tuo italiano. Ma se viaggi con un’altra persona potrai dividere la stanza con lei/lui. Però, questa persona non potrà partecipare alle attività del Grand Tour.

Scrivi un’email a info@italiantimezone.com dicendo che vuoi cancellare la tua partecipazione. La caparra e le rate già versate non saranno rimborsabili. In caso di annullamento da parte mia, riceverai un rimborso completo della quota del viaggio studio che hai già pagato.

No, ma ti consiglio di acquistare un'assicurazione di viaggio. Così, se devi annullare all'ultimo minuto a causa di malattia, infortunio, ritardo del viaggio, bagaglio smarrito o altri motivi urgenti, il tuo investimento di viaggio sarà protetto.
Consiglio anche di stipulare un'assicurazione medica/ sanitaria nel caso sfortunato in cui dovesse succedere qualcosa durante il soggiorno linguistico.

Ciao! Mi chiamo Giulia Borelli e sono un'appassionata viaggiatrice e un'insegnante di italiano.
Adoro immergermi nella storia e nella cultura dei luoghi che visito, così come interagire con la gente del posto. Dopotutto, sono una studente curiosa come te.
