La nostra ospite:

Valeria Coccia (she/her) graduated from the Università Statale di Milano with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 2013. In 2014, she earned a Master’s Degree in Promoting and Teaching Italian Language and Culture to Foreign Students, also from the Università Statale di Milano. During the fall semester of the same year, she interned with the Italian Department at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Her Master’s thesis was published in the magazine Italiano LinguaDue. Valeria has been teaching Italian since 2011. She worked with adult immigrants and asylum seekers from 2011 to 2014, and from 2018 to 2019, she lived in the USA as a Teaching Assistant at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. There, she taught Italian language and culture to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

In addition to teaching, Valeria has volunteered as an ambulance EMT with the Italian Red Cross since 2009.

In her free time, she enjoys reading novels and graphic novels, watching movies and TV shows, crafting, traveling, and hiking. You can find her on social media as @italianoconvaleria, where she has been sharing contents about Italian language, grammar, and culture since 2019.
